State Rep. Jaime Greene recently received the Golden Apple Award from the Michigan Chapter of the National Coalition for Public School Options.

“I am deeply honored to receive the Golden Apple Award,” said Greene, R-Richmond.  “This recognition reinforces my commitment to championing and preserving educational choices for Michigan families. I am grateful to be part of this vital effort, empowering parents and students to make the educational choices that best suit their needs.”

Representatives from Michigan International Prep School and Insight Academy presented Greene with the award this week for her work to ensure equity in educational funding as well as her continued efforts to protect educational options for Michigan families while serving as Republican Vice Chair of the House Education Committee.

“Rep. Greene has played an intricate role in continuing to bring awareness surrounding school choice and showing the reasons why all students deserve equal funding,” said Amy Dunlap, Michigan’s PSO Board Chair and Michigan International Prep School staff. “She takes the time to learn about all options and how varying school types operate in order to effectively advocate on our behalf. We are thankful for her continued support and leadership in the education committee.”
